Pastor Hank Langknecht

The Rev. Hank Langknecht has served as pastor of Christ the King since February 2017. Ordained as a pastor in 1986, he has served parishes in Ohio and Toronto, Ontario. Prior to moving to Virginia he taught preaching at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. Pastor Langknecht’s pastoral ministry is focused on preaching, teaching, and setting an example of generosity and service. He is especially interested in creation theology and the ongoing need to translate the beliefs of Christianity into contemporary language. He has deep interest in music (he sings and plays ukulele and piano), bicycling, reading, and he begins every day working the New York Times crossword. Hank is married to Shirla and they have two married sons (Adam, married to Raquel; Jake, engaged to Katie).
