Reach out to any member of the committee with questions about Worship Assistant positions (ushers, lectors, communion assistants, greeters, and assisting ministers) or to get a copy of the guide for each role.

We also continue to need volunteers to answer the call for lay helpers. Please use sign up now for summer services.

Sign up for 11:00 a.m.

  • Join King’s Choir (teens and adults), King’s Chimers (3rd grade and up), or provide special music for a service.

  • Assist with the Sound Team or the Altar Guild (teens and adults).

  • Sign up to participate in the healing services. Contact the Worship and Music Committee chair for training and more information.

  • Purchase flowers for worship to commemorate a special occasion or to honor someone special to your life. Sign up using the flower signup chart in the narthex. Flower arrangements are $50. (Please pay in advance with a check made out to Christ the King with a memo designating “Flower Ministry” or “Altar Flowers.” Checks and information for the commemoration can be placed in the collection plate or placed in the church office.)

Past events

  • Lenten Dinner Series: The Worship and Music Committee teamed up with the Service Committee to host a Lenten Dinner Series in support of ELCA World Hunger. During the dinner series, attendees shared a simple meal of food from the eek’s featured country, participated in a short worship service, and learned more about the issues of poverty and food scarcity in South Africa, the West Bank, Malawi, Haiti, and India. More than $1,500 was raised in support of ELCA World Hunger’s global mission.

  • Holy Week Services: Christ the King held Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Services during Holy Week.

  • Worship and Music Committee members participated in the Great Falls Ecumenical Council “Ashes to Go” event on Ash Wednesday at Kate’s Café and Starbucks.

The Worship and Music Committee collected “music and worship forms” to create a list of CtK members and friends who are interested in participating in worship activities or providing special music. Any CTK members or friends who have not yet filled out a form are asked to fill one out and drop it in the offering plate, leave it in the church office, or hand it to a Worship and Music Committee member. Blanks are located in the narthex next to the nametag rack.
